Follow up to Percy Jackson you say...I'm still on the Last Olympian. I needed a little break from the series.

LoL nothing like a TV based novel Smilie_PDT I used to love Buffy ones when I was younger

I'm still on Percy jackson the first one, it's a very good read. The movie seems to have changed a lot of it. I hate that. I should have read the book first.

I think I might bring my 1000+ pager to my trip for 2 weeks, The Pillars of Earth by Keith Follett Smilie_PDT think that will last me?

LOL you just know I'm going to plug an ereader to you Wink

PLUGS.

They're fun, obviously written for children, but easy enough to turn your brain off and enjoy the story!

A book that long would last me about 2 weeks, it would depend how many long trips I had to go on. How long is the plane trip to Japan? Are you planning on any long train trips?

@Anne M - Yup, we're city hopping between 7 cities so we're going to be training it a lot...plane trip is about 7 hours I think, but we have quite a few transfers along the way!

I'm a pretty fast reader though...I'm also taking my Lonely Planet Japan guide. Don't want to bring too much luggage seeing as we're going to be travelling heaps...maybe I'll bring another book. It's actually 981 pages and quite light...hmmm uhhhm

@Nienna - Well Ereaders are pretty, and I am running out of space on my bookshelf...*strokes new books*

Nope, not ready for the dark side yet.  [smilie=smileyvader.gif]

i suspect the trip there's closer to 9 hours, not including stopovers. 7 seems too short, but you could always take a nap, watch a movie or play a game on top of reading so you'll probably have it sorted.
