unlike Merlin for instance it has an exteemely interesting storyline, great acting and a an awful lot of beheadings and tit shots. HBO wins again

lol @ tit shots.

I actually haven't watched, but I will sometime soon. I attempted reading the first book, but I need to pick it up again since everyone raves about it so much.

hubby loves it, he read all the books and I am watching it with him, but its such a big story and cast etc its a bit slow IMO. Mind you I thought the same of BSG and loved it after the third series Smilie_PDT

BSG?

i'm considering reading the books after the series. i don't want anything to spoil the show for me as i'm enjoying it so much and i assume that the books will be at least as good as the show but with more detail so i'll no doubt still enjoy them

It's quite good, all the boys love it (probably cos of the blood and the titty shots), I watch it when it comes out every week. Extremely addictive and great costume and engaging story. There's some really adult themes which are normal for HBO like incest and stuff too.

BSG = battle star galactica
from what hubby reckons they have cuts lots out to make the tv series, from what I read over his shoulder of the books they seem very dry Confused might give them a go after the series
